The Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Foundation of Washington was established in 1961 as a statewide nonprofit organization supporting families and educating the community about sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Starting in 2007, the Foundation is now operating under a new banner to reflect its expanded mission and prevention efforts: The Northwest Infant Survival Alliance-SIDS Foundation of Washington (NISA-SIDS).
The Northwest Infant Survival Alliance-SIDS Foundation of Washington is dedicated to the informational and emotional support of bereaved families, to the education of the general public and professionals, and to the ultimate elimination of sudden infant death through research.
